¡¡¡HOLA!!!

ENGLISH.- Back in the Jurassic era,I used to write many letters...and I loved drawing on the envelopes.Of course,I wasn't the only one.But then along came the internets and the postal service was no more an space for art.
To bring back some of the fun of drawing on envelopes,Darren Di Lieto (of The Little Chimp Society fame) created the Mail Me Art project.I joined the project with the manila envelope seen above (↑).

Now,all the illustrated envelopes will be shown in an exhibition that will open this Friday 30th of July 2010 at the Red Gate Gallery,in London,UK.It will run until Thursday 5th August,so if you're in the area,be sure to drop by —and buy an envelope if you like.

ESPAÑOL.- Tiempo atrás en el Jurásico,solía escribir muchas cartas...y me encantaba dibujar en los sobres.Por supuesto,no era el único.Pero luego vinieron los internetes y el servicio postal ya no fue un espacio para el arte gráfico.

Ahora,todos los sobres ilustrados serán mostrados en una exhibición que abrirá este viernes 30 de julio de 2010 en la Red Gate Gallery,en Londres,Reino Unido.Estará abierta hasta el jueves 5 de agosto,así que si andan por el área,asegúrense de caerle —y comprar un sobre,si lo desean.

ENGLISH.- Steve Rack created a cute character with the name of Toe Fluff.Then he allowed designers and artists to use his creation as a canvas for new original images (you may remember the piece I made for that experiment).
Now Steve is taking 150 of the Toe Fluff illos and making an art show with them —and don't tell anyone,my piece is among them.If you are in the Swindon,UK area,you really should go to the PostModern Gallery and see the exhibition.Because it will be used to raise cash for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Why you should care about it? Well,because in 44 pages it features 10 stories by different artists and yup,I'm among them (with a little fable about the moon,in case you were wondering).
But the best part is that all proceeds will be donated to Save The Children,an organization aimed to help children in need of better conditions of life.

ENGLISH.- Ilustrando Que Es Gerundio (Illustrating —Right Now) is an art book featuring the works of 14 different international,Spanish-speaking illustrators —and yup,you guessed right,I'm included there.
It's a nice collection of eye-candy in a wide range of styles and techniques.Plus,all profits of the book will be donated to the Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras (FEDER) an altruistic organization aimed to help people with uncommon diseases.

ENGLISH.- In a few days —on the 17th to be precise— will open this illustration exhibition with the name of 100% Carne (100% Flesh).It's an interesting proyect about illustrators creating pictures meant to be printed on human flesh with temporary tattoos.And as you can guess,I'm participating.
The exhibition will be held at the Centro Cultural Border —located on Zacatecas #43,here on Mexico City.

ESPAÑOL.- Dentro de unos días —el próximo 17 para más señas— abrirá una exhibición de ilustración con el título de 100% Carne.Se trata de un interesante proyecto de ilustradores creando imágenes pensadas para imprimirse en carne humana a través de tatuajes temporales.Y como seguro ya adivinaron,estaré participando.
La exhibición tendrá lugar en el Centro Cultural Border —localizado en Zacatecas #43,acó en la Ciudad de México.

ENGLISH.- This May will mark the start of the 6th season of Reacción —this radio microdumentary series I write scripts for,you know.5 episodes a week,a topic per week about history,pop culture,sciences and some weird facts (in Spanish —sorry,folks).

The show airs from Monday to Friday on Reactor 105.7 FM (Mexico City) at 11:30 am,with a repetition the same day at 3:30 pm,Central Time (minutes earlier,minutes later depending of the mood of the radio operator currently on the control console).There's also a streaming cybercast available at the IMER's website —just look for 'Reactor' station.
Or if you don't mind listening the episodes at another time and a few weeks after they aired originally,you can get them as a podcast.
